ABOUT Riad Camellia

Located in Takase-cho, Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, Riad Camellia stands in a land where people’s lives remain in quiet harmony with the gentle nature of the Seto Inland Sea.
“Riad” refers to a traditional Moroccan style of residence—closed to the outside world, yet open inward. It is a space where, without excessive intrusion, people share the same time and air, allowing encounters between individuals and cultures to unfold quietly and naturally.
This is not a place to simply consume a finished service.
It is a place where living under the same roof, and sharing time and space, allows differences in culture and individuality to be felt, experienced, and shared firsthand. Nationality, language, and background are not what matter here. Riad Camellia aspires to be a place where people from around the world can exchange perspectives and experience a borderless world as part of everyday life.
Takase-cho, Mitoyo City, is neither a bustling metropolis nor a famous tourist destination.
Yet here exists a way of life that has endured alongside nature, without placing excessive burden on the environment. In this place, you can encounter the essence of Japanese culture, shaped through generations of daily living.
Riad Camellia does not provide answers.By sharing the same space, it leaves room for quiet reflection—on how you wish to see the world, and which boundaries you hope to cross in your life. What is exchanged here is not only words, but also sensations and awareness. We hope this place becomes an opportunity to reconsider your relationship with the world.
Riad Camellia — a place to encounter the world from within the boundary.
